Booking the Aircraft
To hire any of these aircraft, pilots must be financial members of the Canberra Aero Club
and be able to abide by the Terms and Conditions for the use of the
Club aircraft.
All aircraft bookings must be made online
These Terms and Conditions must be signed and returned to the Aircraft Manager before being checked out to fly any of the airplanes.
All aircraft bookings must be organised online. Contact the Aircraft Manager if you require an account to be set up.
Payment
The preferred payment method is by EFT but by cheque is acceptable also.
Please note that the club needs to maintain a good cash flow so please be prompt with your payments and please
DO NOT FORGET TO INCLUDE Terminal Navigation Charges and away from Canberra Landing Fees in your payment.
To help make payment for flying hours easier, it is now possible to use the Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
facility offered by Internet banking to transfer money directly from
your account to the Aero Club's account. This saves money and time. If
members wish to use this facility, please contact the Aircraft Manager for
the Account and BSB number of the Aero Club Aircraft Account.
Please note that members who hire MUW are responsible for all landing charges (other than at Canberra).
If you cancel your flight for one reason or the other, please amend your booking ASAP.
Come and Fly With the Canberra Aero Club
Our aircraft require patronage! VH-MUW is owned by the Club, so it is your aircraft and we need to get
people flying it so that we can keep it economically viable. VH-MUW is
the cheapest hire aircraft on the field. It is also one of the nicest
to fly.
If you know of people who regularly fly at Canberra, why not encourage
them to become members of CAC so that they too can benefit from cheap
flying!
Important Notes
- You are responsible for refuelling and parking the aircraft on the grassed area.
- Fees are calculated on the Hobbs meter, and this is the figure that goes in the flight log.
- The Maintenance Release uses air switch time. (Located underneath the left hand wing near the air switch).
Please look after these aircraft!
